Chiefs Pro Bowler Unlikely to Participate in AFC Championship Game
The Chiefs have struggled with their tackle pickups this season, but have one of the best interior offensive lines and will need a backup to step in due to an injury to Joe Thuney. Thuney is likely to miss the AFC Championship Game due to a pectoral injury, but it is hopeful he will be available for the Super Bowl if the Chiefs qualify. Thuney was a key part of the Chiefs’ 2021 O-line remodeling effort and received significant honors in the 2022 season. The Chiefs have other healthy starting offensive linemen, and will likely turn to Nick Allegretti as the next man up.
