NFL Closes Paris Fan Experience Amid Protests Before France’s Inaugural Game
The NFL closed its “NFL House” in Paris on Saturday amid security concerns linked to planned protests, with a heavy police presence in the city. The league also canceled events and its pop-up shop due to “potential accessibility issues.” The New Orleans Saints are scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers at Stade de France on Sunday, marking the NFL’s first regular-season game in France. French authorities aimed to prevent unrest, influencing other sports events. Despite the challenges, some fans remained optimistic about attending the game, while local museums closed and tourists experienced uncertainty in the city.
