NFL Week 5 Standouts: Drake Maye and Jahmyr Gibbs Shining Like MVPs
Two weeks ago, concerns about quarterback Drake Maye’s performance seemed premature as he excelled in the New England Patriots’ victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. He threw for 374 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing a turnaround after starting the season poorly. Other standout players this week included Jahmyr Gibbs, who had over 200 total yards for the Lions, Christian Watson with two long touchdowns, and Mike Evans excelling in the 49ers’ win. The Patriots’ offensive line also impressed, allowing minimal pressure on Maye. Additionally, Jaguars kickers Cam Little and Ameer Abdullah delivered a last-second victory against the Eagles.
