Mike Vrabel Criticizes Official After Penalty During Patriots’ Victory Over Bills
The Patriots defeated the Bills 29-26, but a key moment involved coach Mike Vrabel receiving a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty before halftime, allowing Buffalo to score. Vrabel’s outburst followed an incomplete pass by Josh Allen. After the game, both Vrabel and official Bill Vinovich discussed the incident, with Vinovich noting the language warranted a penalty. Vrabel defended his actions, stating he’s expressed similar frustrations without issue in the past. Despite the controversy, the Patriots bounced back with a strong second half, featuring quarterback Drake Maye’s three touchdown performance, evening their record at 2-2.
