Larry Fitzgerald Discusses His ‘Irish Goodbye’ Before Jersey Retirement Ceremony with the Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals will honor Larry Fitzgerald by inducting him into their Ring of Honor and retiring his No. 11 during halftime of the game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. This ceremony serves as a farewell to Fitzgerald, who never officially announced his retirement after his final season in 2020. He becomes the 20th member of the Ring of Honor and the first addition since Carson Palmer in 2019. Fitzgerald’s jersey retirement solidifies his legacy, despite his reluctance to embrace the term “retired,” a sentiment he expressed during Hall of Fame week in August.
