Patrick Mahomes Joins Chiefs Voluntary Workouts, Aiming for Week 1 Comeback
Patrick Mahomes is aiming for a Week 1 return with the Kansas City Chiefs following his recovery from torn ligaments in his left knee. This week, he participated in voluntary workouts, including individual exercises and 7-on-7 drills while wearing a brace on his knee. Although he’s improving, Mahomes hasn’t yet been cleared for full-team drills. Coach Andy Reid noted that Mahomes will be monitored closely during rehab to ensure safety as he progresses. With a mandatory minicamp upcoming and training camp starting in July, Mahomes remains optimistic about being ready for the season’s start against Denver on September 14.
