Carson Wentz injured his left shoulder in Week 5 and is uncertain to return to game action
During Week 5, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz left the game due to a left shoulder injury just before halftime after taking a big hit. He walked off the field and went to the locker room for evaluation. Wentz needed X-rays on his shoulder and was deemed questionable to return. Undrafted rookie Max Brosmer replaced him and took a knee at the end of the half. Brosmer had previously played in Week 3, completing two of four attempts for 29 yards. Wentz’s status for future games is uncertain as the team continues to evaluate his injury.
