Jayden Daniels to sit out Week 3 game against Raiders after sustaining knee injury.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is out for the game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a sprained knee. Coach Dan Quinn is being cautious with his return, leading to veteran Marcus Mariota starting in his place. Mariota, a former No. 2 pick, will make his first start since 2022. Despite Daniels’ absence, the Commanders are favored to win against the Raiders. Daniels, the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, had a successful rookie season but has been limited in rushing yards this year. He suffered the knee injury in a recent loss to the Green Bay Packers but was able to finish the game.
