All-Pro returner KaVontae Turpin of Cowboys arrested on weapon and marijuana charges following signing of deal
Dallas Cowboys player KaVontae Turpin was arrested in Allen, Texas on weapon and marijuana charges. Turpin, who signed a $18 million deal in March, had a successful 2024 season with career highs in returns and receiving yards. Despite going undrafted in 2019, Turpin excelled in the USFL before joining the Cowboys. He earned Pro Bowl honors in his first NFL season for his strong performance in both special teams and as a wide receiver. Turpin’s off-field issues have been a hurdle in his career, but he has shown his talent and potential through his on-field achievements.
