Commanders decide to sideline DE Ferrell (knee) against Cincy
Washington Commanders’ defensive end Clelin Ferrell has been ruled out of the game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a knee injury. Ferrell, signed to a one-year deal this season, has been dealing with knee issues. He was listed as questionable in Week 2 but played and recorded a sack. Washington’s defense, ranking poorly in scoring and yards per game, will have to find a replacement for Ferrell. Washington coach Dan Quinn praised Ferrell as a warrior and stated the injury is not long-term. The team also awaits the return of cornerback Emmanuel Forbes Jr. after surgery on his thumb.
