Bears Make Bold Move, Acquiring Star Titans DT Jeffery Simmons with Two First-Round Picks
The Chicago Bears have traded for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans, sending first-round picks in 2027 and 2028 and a fourth-rounder in 2024 in exchange for Simmons and a fifth-round pick in 2028. This acquisition aims to strengthen a previously weak defensive line as the Bears, led by Caleb Williams, improve to 5-2 and chase the undefeated Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North. Coach Ben Johnson and general manager Ryan Poles view this trade as a step towards winning the franchise’s first Super Bowl since 1985. Simmons, a first-team All-Pro, has four sacks this season.
