Khalil Mack Connected to 49ers Despite Chargers’ Denial of Major Trades Before Deadline
As of Friday, the winless Los Angeles Chargers are six-point underdogs against the Houston Texans. Speculation surrounds potential trades before the NFL deadline, particularly regarding edge-rusher Khalil Mack. Fox Sports’ Eric D. Williams suggests the San Francisco 49ers might pursue Mack to bolster their pass-rushing, despite a potential return for Nick Bosa. The 49ers are also eyeing Colts’ Jonathan Taylor. However, reports indicate the Chargers may not be inclined to trade Mack, with analysts believing they prefer to keep the team intact despite a poor season, raising questions about the future of head coach Jim Harbaugh and GM Joe Hortiz.
