Sean McVay Provides Update on Myles Garrett’s Status with the Rams: Is a Return Imminent?
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay announced that superstar linebacker Myles Garrett is expected to be activated from injured reserve for their Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders, pending no setbacks. Garrett, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery after a Week 1 injury, will bolster a Rams defense currently ranked fourth in opponent passing yards and fifth in total yards. However, the team has struggled with sacks, ranking 26th in the league. Garrett, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and former All-Pro, was acquired from the Browns in June. Cornerback Jaylen Watson has been placed on season-ending IR.
