Former NFL QB Russell Wilson Interviews for Head Coaching Position at NC State
Former Super Bowl champion quarterback Russell Wilson interviewed for the head coaching position at NC State, joining fellow ex-NC State and NFL quarterback Philip Rivers as candidates. NC State recently fired head coach Dave Doeren. Wilson, 38, played at NC State from 2008 to 2010 before transferring to Wisconsin. Drafted by Seattle in 2012, he led the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl win in 2013 and was a 10-time Pro Bowler. Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL in June to become a CBS Sports analyst. Rivers is currently coaching at St. Michael Catholic High School in Alabama.
