North Carolina State Evaluating Two Former NFL Quarterbacks for Head Coaching Position
Two former North Carolina State quarterbacks, Phillip Rivers and Russell Wilson, are in contention for the Wolfpack’s head coaching vacancy following the firing of Dave Doeren. Rivers, who has coaching experience, is reportedly a target, while Wilson has been interviewed for the position. Both players excelled in the NFL, with Wilson achieving notable success, including a Super Bowl win. Although Wilson has not coached before and has been out of the NFL for over a year, he remains a prominent figure from his time at NC State. The search for a new head coach is ongoing, with Rivers and Wilson as key candidates.
