NFL Referee Team Removed from ‘SNF’ Following Disappointing Performance
In Week 7, an NFL officiating crew led by Alex Moore faced severe criticism for their performance in the Packers-Lions game, resulting in questionable flags that affected the outcome. As a consequence, they were reassigned from officiating the Eagles-Commanders matchup to a less prominent game between the Patriots and Dolphins. This move, rare but not unprecedented, suggests the league aimed to avoid further scrutiny during a nationally televised event. Instead, Shawn Hochuli’s crew was given the Sunday night game, highlighting the league’s response to the negative feedback regarding Moore’s crew.
