49ers’ Dre Greenlaw Receives One-Game Suspension for Head-Butting Helmetless Seahawks Linebacker
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been suspended for one game without pay due to unsportsmanlike conduct during the recent game against the Seattle Seahawks. He hit quarterback Sam Darnold late and engaged in a skirmish, head-butting Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones. This suspension follows Greenlaw’s pattern of disciplinary issues, marking his second one-game suspension in as many years. Coach Kyle Shanahan expressed disappointment and hopes for a successful appeal. Meanwhile, rookie Jaden Dugger stepped in for Greenlaw, performing well with nine tackles and a sack. Greenlaw’s ejection marks the third of his career.
