Cowboys Update: Dak Prescott Breaks Franchise TD Record in Victory Against Commanders
After a disappointing week one, the Dallas Cowboys rebounded with a 37-20 victory over the Commanders. Dak Prescott shone, completing 84% of his passes and setting the franchise touchdown record with his 249th TD. CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson each caught two touchdown passes, while Brandon Aubrey added a 60-yard field goal. Despite offensive success, the defense struggled, particularly against the pass, due to injuries. Prescott finished 26 for 31 with 279 yards and four touchdowns. Fans are beginning to see the potential of the 2026 Cowboys, but defensive vulnerabilities remain a concern despite improvements from the previous week.
