Update on Suspension Status for Packers’ Josh Jacobs
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is on the commissioner’s exempt list following a plea deal from his May arrest for misdemeanor battery and criminal damage. His former girlfriend’s attorneys filed to permanently seal evidence from the case to protect her privacy. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that Jacobs could face a four-to-six-game suspension as the NFL’s investigation continues. The Packers struggled without him, losing to the Minnesota Vikings 39-22. Jacobs must also pay restitution, attend counseling, and avoid contacting the victim. Clarity on his status might come before the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons on September 24.
