Falcons QB Rush Expected to Start Despite Back Spasms
Marc Raimondi began covering the Atlanta Falcons in 2024 after joining ESPN in 2019 as a combat sports reporter. He previously worked for the New York Post and Newsday, covering various sports. In NFL news, Falcons quarterback Cooper Rush, who experienced back spasms, will start against the Steelers after Tua Tagovailoa was ruled out due to an oblique issue. Michael Penix Jr. remains inactive as he recovers from a torn ACL. Tagovailoa’s earlier tight back issue is not related to his current injury. The Falcons’ roster includes four quarterbacks: Tagovailoa, Penix, Rush, and rookie Jack Strand.
