Giants’ DC Dennard Wilson Calls Out Team’s Defensive ‘Traitors’
New York Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson criticized his players’ performance in Week 6 against the Saints, calling those who didn’t run to the ball “traitors.” In a press conference, he emphasized the need for corrections after the Giants surrendered 34 consecutive points in a 34-27 loss, despite leading 10-0 earlier in the game. Their defensive statistics show a need for improvement, sitting 29th in opponent rushing yards. Wilson highlighted poor tackling and effort as issues, stating the team must return to basics. The Giants will face the Texans in Week 7, starting new quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
