AT&T Stadium to Finally Install Curtains for Football Games

AT&T Stadium will soon install curtains to combat the sun’s glare during afternoon events. While they will be used for FIFA World Cup matches—specifically, the June 25 game between Japan and Sweden—they won’t be utilized during Dallas Cowboys games. Cowboys players have long criticized the glare issue, with the stadium historically favoring concert settings for curtain use over improving game conditions. Additionally, the stadium will feature grass for the World Cup, contrasting its typical turf for NFL games, a change the Cowboys have also pushed for. The Cowboys will only face significant sun glare during three afternoon home games in 2026.
