Carlton Davis III shows up at Pats’ OTAs

Carlton Davis III makes an appearance at Patriots’ OTAs

New England Patriots cornerback Carlton Davis III has been absent from voluntary OTA practices until recently, drawing attention to his absence when free-agent receiver Stefon Diggs showed up. Davis, who signed a three-year, $54 million contract with the Patriots in March, previously played for the Buccaneers and Lions. He suffered a fractured jaw last season, missing the last few games. Now with the Patriots, Davis is expected to start as one of the cornerbacks alongside Christian Gonzalez. Despite missing OTAs, having Diggs’ attention-grabbing arrival has provided cover for Davis’ absence from the practices.
