Former Cowboys Pro Bowler getting tryout with Raiders during rookie minicamp, per report

Report: Raiders giving tryout to ex-Cowboys Pro Bowler during rookie minicamp

Former Pro Bowl linebacker Jaylon Smith, who has not played in a regular season game since 2023, is participating in the Las Vegas Raiders’ minicamp on a tryout basis. Smith was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2016 but missed his rookie season due to injury. He made a strong comeback in 2017 and had productive seasons with the Cowboys, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2019. After being released by the Cowboys in 2021, Smith had shorter stints with the Packers and the Giants. The Raiders are now giving him another opportunity to revive his career after a brief stint with them in 2023.
