Julio Jones, the Atlanta Falcons’ all-time leading wide receiver, announces retirement after notable 13-season NFL career
Julio Jones, the leading receiver in Atlanta Falcons history, retired at the age of 36 after not playing in the 2024 season. He played for Atlanta from 2011-2021, setting franchise records with 848 catches for 12,896 yards and 60 touchdown catches. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee, and Tampa Bay during his 13-season NFL career. Jones led the NFL in receiving yards in 2015 and 2018. In his retirement announcement, he thanked Alabama, his former college coach Nick Saban, and the city of Atlanta for their support throughout his career.
