Chiefs lineman Isaiah Buggs turns self in on misdemeanor cruelty to animal charges in Alabama

Isaiah Buggs, Chiefs lineman, surrenders to authorities on animal cruelty charges in Alabama.

Isaiah Buggs, a defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, turned himself in on animal cruelty charges after two dogs were found malnourished at a house he had rented in Tuscaloosa. He was released on $600 bond and denies the allegations, claiming the dogs did not belong to him. Buggs’ agent stated he was unaware the dogs were still on the property and believes the situation is part of a campaign to shut down his hookah lounge. Buggs, a former Alabama player, joined the Chiefs in January and received a futures contract in February. The team is aware of the situation but declined to comment.
