Chiefs’ Rice Identified as Suspect in Assault, Police Investigating Following Crash Arrest
Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice is suspected of assault in Dallas, just over a month after being involved in a chain-reaction crash. Police responded to a nightclub early on Monday where a person was assaulted by Rice and later went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Rice’s attorney did not comment, and the Chiefs and NFL declined to comment as well. Rice reported to the Chiefs for voluntary workouts after turning himself in for charges related to the crash. He and another player from SMU have been charged with aggravated assault and injury-related charges. Rice played in the Super Bowl last year and led the Chiefs in touchdown catches.
