Sources: Texans to let Diggs be free agent in ’25

Texans Reportedly Will Not Restrict Diggs’ Free Agency in 2025

In a blockbuster trade, the Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills. The Texans wiped out the final three years of Diggs’ contract, making him a free agent after this season. They also moved up $3.5 million in guaranteed money to give him a raise. The Texans traded a 2025 second-round pick to Buffalo and received two draft picks in return. Diggs’ production declined in the 2023 season, but he has set records for the Bills and is a consistent Pro Bowl selection. The Texans expect Diggs to negotiate a new long-term contract next offseason.
