Antonio Pierce is already building excitement around a Raiders quarterback
Head coach Antonio Pierce of the Las Vegas Raiders is confident in quarterback Aidan O’Connell’s abilities and believes he has earned the opportunity to compete for the starting job in 2024. Despite the team possibly looking to add another quarterback in the NFL Draft, Pierce praises O’Connell’s mental toughness and solid performance during his rookie season. O’Connell threw for 2,218 yards with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions in ten starts, with the team going 5-5 in his appearances. Despite a veteran quarterback being brought in to challenge O’Connell, Pierce indicates that the starting role is O’Connell’s to lose at the start of training camp.
