Vikings and Marcus Davenport renegotiate deal, push void date to March 11
The Vikings signed Marcus Davenport to a one-year deal with four voidable years, reducing his 2023 cap number to $6.2 million. The deal was set to void, adding $6.8 million of dead money to the 2024 cap. The void date was renegotiated to March 11, aligning with Kirk Cousins and Danielle Hunter’s deals. This allows more time to discuss a new deal. Davenport’s original deal included an $8.5 million signing bonus, $1.5 million salary, and $468,000 in roster bonuses for four games played. He was placed on injured reserve after a high-ankle sprain on Oct. 15 and did not return to play.
