Texans’ CJ Stroud Sets Record as Youngest QB to Win Playoff Game, Leads Team to Victory Over Browns
Rookie CJ Stroud led the Houston Texans to a 45-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns in a wildcard matchup with 274 passing yards and three touchdowns. At 22 years and 102 days old, he became the youngest quarterback to win a playoff game. Texan’s defense also contributed to the win with two interception returns for touchdowns. Stroud’s performance and first-year coach DeMeco Ryans’ leadership turned the Texans into AFC South champions after years of struggle. On the other hand, Joe Flacco, at 39 years old, was unable to continue his late-season success as the Browns were eliminated from the playoffs.
