Chiefs’ Mahomes and Reid criticize referees after loss to Bills
The Kansas City Chiefs lost 20-17 to the Buffalo Bills after a touchdown play was called back due to a player being offsides. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid were visibly frustrated and criticized the officiating. They both stated that a warning is usually given to the team before a penalty is called for a receiver being offsides, which did not happen in this game. While nobody wants officials deciding the game in its biggest moments, it’s hard not to recognize that a penalty occurred. The loss drops the Chiefs to 8-5 on the season, and they will look to bounce back next week against the New England Patriots.
