Report: Steelers Plan to Sign CB Darius Rush from Chiefs’ Practice Squad, Possibly Trade or Release Desmond King
The Pittsburgh Steelers are making changes to their secondary by signing cornerback Darius Rush off the Chiefs’ practice squad and planning to release veteran Desmond King if a trade partner cannot be found. Rush, a former Colts fifth-round pick, has yet to play in a regular-season game but had a strong college career with three interceptions and 15 pass breakups. King, who was a part-time starter and earned All-Pro honors in 2018, has had success against the Steelers in the past. The Steelers’ defense is currently ranked 25th in the NFL in passing yards allowed and touchdown passes allowed.
