Cardinals to keep QB Murray on PUP, cut McCoy

Murray to Stay on PUP List, McCoy Released by Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will not be activated off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list before the 4 p.m. ET deadline on Tuesday, meaning he will miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The Cardinals also released quarterback Colt McCoy, leaving them with Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune as potential starters for Week 1. Dobbs, who was traded to the team last week, has previous experience working with the Cardinals’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. The team has yet to decide whether or not to have a third quarterback active on game day.
