Alex Taylor, a 26-year-old offensive tackle, is currently competing for a practice squad position with the Dallas Cowboys. He began his college career at Appalachian State before transferring to South Carolina State to play basketball. After two years on the basketball team, he returned to football and became the starting left tackle for South Carolina State. In his first year, he had no sacks or pressures on 68 pass blocks, and the following year, he allowed two sacks and nine pressures on 348 pass plays. Taylor went undrafted in 2020 and spent time on practice squads with the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears before signing with the Cowboys.
