Colts analyst John Park joins Cowboys staff

Former Indianapolis Colts director of football research John Park joined the Dallas Cowboys staff in the role of director of strategic football operations, per Seth Walder of ESPN.

Park was a key piece of the analytics department under the Frank Reich regime and has been with the Colts since 2016.

This marks two of the major pieces of the analytics department the Colts have lost this offseason. George Li, who was the Senior Football Strategy Analyst/Game Management, followed Reich to the Carolina Panthers earlier this offseason.

Park has been lauded as one of the best in the business both on and off the field in regards to the analytics departments across the league. He was a key piece of Reich’s regime when it came to in-game management and decision-making.

The Colts will be ushering in a new era with Shane Steichen as the head coach, and it seems the analytics department will have a different look as well.
