Lions Poised for Significant Transformation, Says Defensive Coordinator
The Detroit Lions stand at 2-2, struggling near the bottom of the NFC North. Their defense is a significant issue, allowing 31.8 points and 423.8 yards per game, ranking 31st in the NFL. Defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard emphasizes the need for “real change,” whether through personnel adjustments or strategy, expressing disappointment from the team’s performance compared to expectations post-training camp. He believes improvements are possible, despite the current challenges, and rejected the notion that the offense is solely responsible for the team’s struggles, underscoring the urgency for the defense to step up.
