Troy Aikman Confronts MNF Restrictions Due to Dolphins Position, NFL Confirms
ESPN analyst Troy Aikman will face restrictions this season as he joins the Miami Dolphins as a consultant. Similar to Tom Brady’s situation due to his Raiders ownership, Aikman must attend production meetings remotely and cannot attend team practices. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy stated that there have been no issues with Brady during his restrictions. Aikman, who has called “Monday Night Football” with Joe Buck since 2022, noted the Dolphins won’t appear on Monday nights this season. He will also contribute to Super Bowl LXI coverage in February. Aikman is advising the Dolphins on hiring a new general manager.
