Source: Garrett’s ’26 compensation increased in reworked deal

Garrett’s 2026 Compensation Boosted in Revised Agreement

Sarah Barshop of ESPN reports that the Los Angeles Rams have traded for defensive end Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. Together, they have reworked his contract, increasing his total compensation for the 2026 season from $31.5 million to at least $37 million, though the overall contract value remains unchanged. Garrett previously signed a four-year, $160 million extension with the Cleveland Browns. The Rams acquired Garrett for linebacker Jared Verse and multiple draft picks, including a 2027 first-rounder and a 2029 third-rounder that could become a first if traded within the AFC North.
