Orlando Storm Names Jack Plummer as Starter, Choosing Him Over Dorian Thompson-Robinson
The Orlando Storm have appointed Jack Plummer as their starting quarterback, surpassing Dorian Thompson-Robinson during UFL camp. Plummer, 26, previously spent time with the Carolina Panthers after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He played six preseason games for the Panthers, completing 68.6% of his passes for 616 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Thompson-Robinson, also 26, was a fifth-round draft pick by the Browns in 2023 but did not play in 2025 after being waived. The Storm’s season opener is scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. ET against the Columbus Aviators.
