Chief Roster Update: Rashee Rice and Trent McDuffie Placed on Injured Reserve
Wide receiver Rashee Rice will miss the final two games of the 2026 season for the Chiefs due to a concussion, after serving a six-game suspension earlier in the season. In addition, cornerback Trent McDuffie, wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, and cornerback Jaylen Watson have been placed on injured reserve. The team has signed defensive end Ethan Downs, cornerback Melvin Smith, and tight end Tyreke Smith to fill those spots, and activated cornerback Nazeeh Johnson from injured reserve. Offensive tackle Jaylon Moore and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi are questionable for the next game, while tight end Jake Briningstool has been ruled out.
