Chargers run game faces challenges with Omarion Hampton’s latest update
Los Angeles Chargers’ head coach Jim Harbaugh will have to adjust his offensive strategy due to rookie running back Omarion Hampton being placed on injured reserve for a left ankle injury. Hampton, the team’s leading rusher and a dual-threat player, will likely miss at least four games. This injury comes after another running back, Najee Harris, suffered a season-ending Achilles tear in a previous game. Hampton had quickly established himself as a key player for the Chargers after being chosen in the 2025 NFL Draft. Harbaugh will need to find new ways to run the offense without Hampton’s contributions in the upcoming games.
