Eli Apple signs with 49ers
Cornerback Eli Apple, 29, has signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. He previously played for the Chargers and Dolphins, and has recorded six career interceptions in his 102 games in the NFL. Apple was a first-round pick for the Giants in 2016 and has also played for the Saints, Panthers, Bengals, and Chargers. He missed time due to a hamstring injury in 2024, playing in just four games that season. In 2023, Apple played in 10 games for the Dolphins, recording an interception and nine passes defensed. The veteran adds experience to the 49ers defense.
