Colts to honor late owner Jim Irsay by inducting him into team’s Ring of Honor at 2025 season opener

The Indianapolis Colts announced the late owner Jim Irsay will be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor during their season opener on September 7. Irsay, who passed away in May at 65, led the Colts to numerous successes during his 28 years as owner, including winning a Super Bowl in 2006 with quarterback Peyton Manning. His daughters will take over ownership of the franchise, with Carlie Irsay-Gordon becoming CEO. Irsay will be the 20th member of the Colts’ Ring of Honor, joining other legends who have contributed to the team over the years. The Colts will face the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the upcoming season.
