After 31 years, Jimmy Johnson steps down from Fox Sports’ NFL coverage
Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Johnson retired from broadcasting after 30 years with Fox Sports. He made the announcement on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, citing a desire to focus on outside business interests. Johnson was an NFL studio analyst since 1994, alongside Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long. He was a successful NFL head coach, leading the Dallas Cowboys to Super Bowl victories in 1992 and 1993. Johnson also won a national championship at the University of Miami in 1987. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2012. Fox Sports CEO Eric Shanks praised Johnson’s contributions to Fox NFL Sunday.
