Jury duty keeps Cowboys kicker from practicing ahead of 49ers game

Due to jury duty, Cowboys kicker misses practice before 49ers game

Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey missed practice due to jury duty obligations for a felony assault case in Tarrant County, Texas. He has been selected to a 12-person jury and is expected to be in court on Thursday and Friday. Aubrey’s availability for the Cowboys’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday is not in question, as jurors are not required to be sequestered. The team tried to get him out of jury duty, but he insisted on fulfilling his civic duty. Aubrey, a former soccer player turned All-Pro kicker, has made 17 of 19 field goal attempts in the first six games of the season.
