Steelers move starting RT Fautanu to injured reserve due to knee injury
Steelers’ starting right tackle Troy Fautanu has been placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury sustained in practice. This will cause him to miss at least four games. Fellow tackle Broderick Jones will step in to replace him. Jones had previously been supplanted by Fautanu as a starter due to penalties during a game against the Denver Broncos. This injury adds to others on the offensive line, with center Nate Herbig out for the year and guard Isaac Seumalo also sidelined. Despite Fautanu’s initial MCL sprain in the preseason, coach Mike Tomlin was impressed with his progress and had him slated to start before the recent injury.
