White, Poyer, and Morse among players cut as bills come due
Alaina Getzenberg, a staff writer for ESPN covering the Buffalo Bills and the NFL, reported on the Bills’ efforts to get under the salary cap by releasing key players. The team released cornerback Tre’Davious White, safety Jordan Poyer, center Mitch Morse, wide receiver Deonte Harty, and special teams player Siran Neal. White, a 2019 All-Pro cornerback, was designated as a post-June 1 release to save cap space. Poyer and Morse, both team captains, are leaving after seven seasons with the team. The Bills also restructured Von Miller’s contract and reached a deal with safety Taylor Rapp to address changes in their defense.
