Ravens likely to allow Pro Bowl defender to explore free agency
The Baltimore Ravens may not have enough cap room to re-sign Pro Bowl defenders Justin Madubuike and Patrick Queen, who are due to hit free agency. While the Ravens plan to franchise tag Madubuike, there may not be enough room left to give Queen the contract he would command on the open market. Despite expressing love for Patrick Queen and acknowledging his great season, GM Eric DeCosta suggested that Queen would get the chance to see what the market has in store for him. This is especially likely as the Ravens have already committed a large contract to another inside linebacker, Roquan Smith. It appears that Queen will be playing elsewhere in 2024.
