NFL Executives Urge Commanders to Revamp Offense for Jayden Daniels’ Protection
Washington Commanders offensive coordinator David Blough confirmed that starting quarterback Jayden Daniels will be “full go” for their upcoming game against the New York Giants. However, an NFL personnel executive cautioned that without a revised offensive game plan, Daniels risks further injury. The executive emphasized the importance of prioritizing a strategy that keeps Daniels healthy, noting his injury-prone history and slight build compared to traditional quarterbacks. While the Commanders rank eighth in rushing yards, there is concern that they need to commit to running plays and max protections to protect Daniels in the long run.
